Best of Atlanta: Scott Antique Market, Shopping Trip Part II

For the love of Interior Design, I just cannot get enough of this place! For me, there's nothing that gets the inspiration wheels churning like a good ole treasure hunting trip. Of course, it's no fun when you find everything BUT what you are looking for (which in my case was a fabulous pair of lounge chairs), but it was still a great trip!

Now, if you will excuse me I will let the pictures do the talking:

These we sold:

campaign side table:

Lot's of beautiful sideboard's:

This handsome devil would make an amazing powder bath vanity:

I am calling it "sainted glass" painting:

This Lucite table was so fab, would make a glam office desk (see insp below):

Lucite desk inspiration:

Statement Mirror:

I don't know why I loved this urn, it was over $600 and weighed a metric ton...so I am guessing it's probably still sitting there:

Solid brass. The dealer said this was some sort of ship engine gear (sure, sounds good enough to me):

Couldn't resist these 10 lb solid brass letters:

Vintage chandeliers with wire baskets...I feel a knock off coming on:

Lot's of lamps:

Floor lamps, probably some of my fav from the show:

Hello Anthropologie, initials cut out of books:

I am absolutely collecting sterling silver napkin rings and that's that. I am sure thousands of other people are too, but I am obsessed:

Gear sculpture:

Picture does not do this rug justice:

I was so surprised that this was the only malachite piece I found, but isn't it great?

Malachite + brass + white + black:

I am dying over this black and white malachite wallpaper:

Screen Print Press turned lamp:

You know I am in my burl wood phase:

Buoy lamp:

Gorgeous handmade hand towels:

Cushion Lucite bench:

Love the numbered drawers:

Oh, you better believe it, obsessed with this guy:

Seen it, still like it:

Pedestals:

Got em:

We loooove these:

THE END.

Happy Hunting,

Oushak Rugs

I was beyond excited to be bringing home this beautiful Turkish Oushak rug from

Scott's

this past weekend.

We have been in the market for an Oushak for some time now, but just haven't come across "the" one. We have seen so many options with beautiful bright colors, but we were looking for one

with more of a soft, subdued palette

. When this rug was presented we were immediately sold. It looked like a silk rug because of its soft, lustrous wool. So we loaded it up and brought her home!

Best of Atlanta: Shopping, Shopping, Eating!

This past weekend, the hubs took me to Atlanta for the best 30th birthday shopping!!! Our trip was planned around some fabulious jewelry shopping, because nothing helps you ease into 30 like a little bling! Once we found the perfect piece (which I will post when it arrives tomorrow), we beelined over to Scott Antique Market

We pulled off Scott's in 4 hours. I would not recommend that, you will definitely want a little more time to dig around all of the nooks and crannies! Here are some of the highlights from my trip...it's a photo heavy post, but I hope you enjoy!

Score! Great mirror, great price:

Rows and rows of side tables:

This was a Zinc 3-Drawer Dresser, similar to the RH one below, but for a fraction of the price.

$2,200 for this gorgeous French chest of drawers + display space:

These were in a beautiful soft blue velvet. I will definitely be using this company. Small, family owned business out of NC and they specialize in antique reproduction:

My brother and sis in law picked up a killer pair of 50's style wingbacks, how great do these look?

I am still scratching my head over why these did not leave with me. Loved these handsome burl wood chairs...unfortunately, I was the only one who loved them!

Lots of beautiful reproductions:

Great chain lamps:

This guy's work is amazing:

Pooped puppy:

Great metal hardware and loved the wood finish:

Metal mirror:

Fantastic outdoor dining, loved the stitching details on the end chairs:

Great color:

The chain leg tables are perfect:

Metal accents on a white linen drum pendant:

Will be using these outdoor sconces:

Pair of Pegasus chairs:

French shutter mirror:

Loved the duck egg blue painted arch windows:

Great color:

Embroidered chest:

This beautiful Oushak definitely came home with us, the colors are perfect!

We wrapped up our time in ATL with an amazing dinner at JCT. Kitchen and headed home! That town never disappoints, see you soon Atlanta!

serene look

It's no secret that I have always loved the amazing textile creations of Swedish designers

Adam & Viktoria

.

My latest obsession, is this serene look: Layers of grey accented by their Daphne pillow in dusk purple.

Power of Pairs

Today, I am taking inspiration from the

Hush Salon

Lately at Within Studio, we have been enjoying seeing all of our hard work come together for the great

Hush Salon and Day Spa in Tucson!

Check out the transformation.

Before: Lot's and lot's of mauve!

After: Lot's and Lots of suave! (ok, that didn't need to rhyme, but you get the point!)

We always love designing custom millwork. We created new styling stations, a modern reception desk, a dramatic 6' banquette and gilded cabinets for the makeup consultations...so fun!

Dining at the Beaumont

We are finally settling in to our new home. I am so excited that we no longer have a cardboard box clad dining room. We still have a ways to go, but here is a quick look of the room and an up close of my current obsession with this Anthropologie table cloth!
